About Bryan D. Dixon

Identified by several publications as one of the top tax attorneys in the Las Vegas area, Mr. Dixon is dedicated to helping clients resolve serious tax problems and devise thoughtful tax planning strategies that best fit specific goals.

Mr. Dixon represents clients nation-wide in examination, appellate, and collection matters pending before the Internal Revenue Service and state taxing authorities. Additionally, Mr. Dixon represents clients in tax litigation matters in various state and federal courts, including the United States Tax Court and the United States Court of Federal Claims. Mr. Dixon also provides tax planning advice on a wide range of issues.

Prior to starting his own law practice, Mr. Dixon was a partner at another Las Vegas law firm, where he gained valuable experience in all aspects of tax law. He successfully utilized both his legal and accounting backgrounds to assist clients in a variety of matters involving diverse types of federal, state and local taxes.

Mr. Dixon is a member of both the Tax Law section and Probate and Trust Law section of the State Bar of Nevada. He also serves as a mediator and arbitrator with the Fee Dispute Committee of the State Bar of Nevada, where he assists other attorneys and their clients resolve fee disputes.

Education

Mr. Dixon received a Bachelor of Arts from Brigham Young University. He then attended the University of Cincinnati (UC) College of Business, earning an MBA with a concentration in Accounting.

Thereafter, Mr. Dixon earned his Juris Doctorate from UC’s College of Law and also received a Master of Science in Taxation (M.S. Tax) through UC’s graduate school of accounting.

During his tenure at the law school, Mr. Dixon worked for a prominent national law firm, where he worked with Nathaniel R. Jones, former judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Mr. Dixon also completed an externship with UC’s Office of Tax Compliance where he worked to address tax issues involving public charities and educational institutions.
